EJEF have been running Intensive and
In-Company / In-House Japanese Language classes in the United Kingdom and in Japan
for over thirty years.
We are currently organising over one hundred classes both in the United Kingdom
(London) and Japan (Tokyo/Osaka/Nagoya). These classes are taught by a team of
forty experienced Japanese Language tutors in both countries. Our clients range
from British and Japanese ministries and international companies to private families.

EJEF's Efficient
Teaching Method
- All classes, from beginners to advanced levels requiring special knowledge, are tailor-made to meet individual requirements.
- EJEF’s original teaching method using English as a common language enhances the participant’s understanding.
- Results show that the number of class
hours required to pass Japanese Language Proficiency Tests is 20% lower at EJEF
than the average published by the examining authorities.
Lesson days, times, frequencies and location of lessons are flexible.

Types of Lessons
One-to-One Lessons
EJEF can send a tutor to most areas (residence or office) in or around London,
Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Lessons can be held any time between 7:00am and 9:00pm,
seven days a week.
Group Lessons
Group lessons can be arranged for a minimum of two participants.
Intensive Lessons
Intensive lessons can be arranged for those wishing to make rapid progress. Courses
are tailor-made to suit the participant's requirements and objectives.

Types of Courses
- There are seven levels of courses
from Basic 1 to Advanced 2. The participant’s present level, objectives
and language aptitude, as well as the times available are taken into consideration
when planning courses at every level.

- In addition, courses concentrating on Business Japanese including polite expressions and presentations can be arranged.
- Courses to prepare clients for examinations (Japanese Language Proficiency Tests, JETRO Tests, etc) are also available.
- Short Practical Functional Courses can also be arranged using EJEF’s own material based on situational roleplays.

Evaluation Reports and
Assessment Tests
Monthly EVALUATION REPORTS are sent to the participants
and their sponsoring companies / institutions outlining attendance records, materials
covered and progress made during that month. A comprehensive final report covering
all the four skills as well as grammar and general remarks is also sent for future
use.
EJEF internal ASSESSMENT TESTS are held after 40 hours and 80 hours of tuition
to enable participants to become aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Sponsoring
companies may also find these assessments useful when making future personnel
decisions.

Profile of EJEF Japanese
Language Instructors
- A total of 80 native Japanese Language instructors (40 in Britain and 40 in Japan, Head Tutor: Kyoko Jin)) are currently teaching at EJEF.
- Every tutor has taken the EJEF Japanese as a Foreign Language Teacher Training Course which is held in London every year from October to the following June.
- Every tutor has a BA / MA degree or a Diploma and has considerable overseas experience and a good knowledge of the English Language.
